Glashute Dress Watch

A Glashütte 17-jewel manual-wind dress watch from the former German Democratic Republic, pairing a restrained gold-tone case with a clean Roman-numeral dial. Glashütte has been one of Germany’s most important watchmaking centers since the 19th century, and East German production carried that tradition forward through robust, carefully made mechanical movements. This example is currently running and keeping time, but has not been fully serviced; as with any vintage mechanical watch, future servicing may be recommended for continued accuracy and longevity. Finished with a fresh leather strap, it has the understated formality of a classic mid-century dress watch.
