Mother of Pearl & Abalone Calling Card Case

An antique calling card case decorated with mother-of-pearl and abalone shell inlay, arranged in a richly patterned mosaic across the exterior. The iridescent shellwork and compact hinged form give it the feel of a small personal treasure, designed for carrying visiting cards with elegance. Shows gentle wear from age and use, with some chipping to the interior finish that adds to its vintage character.
